From the Trenches
I’ve been digging through the latest cybersecurity news, and there are a couple of stories that caught my attention. First off, Acronis MDR is empowering service providers with detection, response, and true business resilience. This is music to my ears - we need more tools like this in the market to help organizations stay ahead of the threats. With MDR, these service providers can offer their clients a comprehensive solution that includes detection, response, and remediation capabilities.
Another story that stands out is Attackers Chain Three Ivanti Connect Secure Flaws to Gain Unauthenticated Root Access. This one’s a wake-up call for any organization using Ivanti Connect Secure. The fact that attackers were able to chain three vulnerabilities together to gain unauthenticated root access is a clear indication of the severity of this issue. As a practitioner, I’d be advising my clients to patch these vulnerabilities ASAP and take extra precautions to ensure their security posture.
🔧 Patch Priority: Ivanti Connect Secure (CVE-2026-118539) is a must-fix for any organization using this product - it’s not just about the vulnerability itself, but also the potential damage that can be done by chaining multiple vulnerabilities together.
Compiled daily. Stay patched, stay vigilant.
