As a cybersecurity practitioner, I’m seeing two stories that are making me sit up and take notice. The fact that it can hit 95.95% accuracy at half the cost of traditional methods is a game-changer. This technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we approach cybersecurity, making it more efficient and effective.

But what really caught my attention was the news that AI is finding twice as many cyber flaws in 2026 as it did in 2025. As someone who’s been in this field for a while, I can attest that the number of threats is only going up. The fact that AI is catching more vulnerabilities means we need to be prepared to patch those issues ASAP. This is where things get serious - we’re talking about critical infrastructure and systems here.

The ASD’s warning to isolate systems for three months is also a wake-up call. We can’t afford to wait around for threats to manifest themselves. We need to be proactive, anticipate potential vulnerabilities, and take steps to mitigate them before they become major issues.
